IN THE COURSE OF ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING (I), THE STUDENTS LEARN THE SUBJECTS OF WATER SUPPLY ENGINEERING (INCLUDING COLLECTION, TRANSPORT, TREATMENT AND DISTRIBUTION) AND SEWERAGE WORK ENGINEERING (INCLUDING SEWER AND STORM SEWER SYSTEMS). ONLY WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PROCESSES ARE MENTIONED IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING (I). THEREFORE, THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT ARE THE MAIN TOPICS IN THE COURSE OF ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING (II). THOSE TOPICS INCLUDE UNIT OF WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT, MASS BALANCE AND FLUID CHARACTERISTICS, MASS TRANSFER AND AERATION, COAGULATION AND FLOCCULATION, REMOVAL OF DISSOLVED IONS, DISINFECTION, ACTIVATED SLUDGE PROCESS, MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY. IN ADDITION, UNIT OPERATION LAB (COAGULATION AND FLOCCULATION, DISINFECTION, WATER SOFTENING, ACTIVATED SLUDGE PROCESS) AND SITE VISITS TO DRINKING WATER TREATMENT PLANTS, WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS AND ULTRA-PURE WATER PLANTS WILL BE PART OF THIS COURSE. |
